THINK PSYCHOLOGY SERVICES

Therapy
Unfortunately I am currently unable to take new referrals for Individual Therapy due to a waitlist and Disability work. If you are looking for a psychologist you may use the Australian Psychologist Society find a psychologist page.
Making the decision to come to Think Psychology Services is making the decision to take time to focus on you. Your first few sessions typically involve creating a safe and warm environment to help talk about what brought you to see a psychologist and clarify your goals. Being trained in a selection of therapeutic methods enables a tailored approach when deciding upon the therapeutic methods that are a good fit for the goals you have and that feel right to you. Regular 'check ins' and psychological measures can help to ensure we are moving towards your goals as expected.
The main approaches I draw from are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), EMDR, Emotion Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) with Mindfulness, and Brief Solution Focused Therapy. I also have an interest in Schema Therapy and attachment work as there are times the problems a person is facing can be a result of unhelpful patterns developed earlier in life. When seeing couples I draw from the Gottman approach, aspects of Schema Therapy, and attachment work.
To learn more about my approach and credential please see the About page.
